Activate GPRS
You can access the Internet from your mobile phone using GRPS. GPRS is a data technology on the Optus Mobile Network that allows you to send / receive email and access the Internet via Optus Zoo. To activate GPRS on your mobile:
Step 1: Login into Optus Zoo to verify the make and model of your phone
Step 2: Click the Set up icon
Step 3: Press send
Step 4: An SMS notification message will then be sent to your handset, which will be followed by another SMS with data settings. Please save or activate these settings to your handset.
Step 5: Switch your handset off and on to activate settings.
Cancel GPRS
To cancel your GPRS / Mobile Internet service (GPRS, Optus Zoo, MMS) us on 1300 652 044.
Activate MMS
A Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) compatible handset is required to use this service.
To activate MMS on your mobile:
Step 1: Login into Optus Zoo, to verify the make and model of your phone
Step 2: Click the Setup icon
Step 3: Then press send
Step 4: An SMS notification message will then be sent to your handset, which will be followed by another SMS with data settings. Please save or activate these settings to your handset.
Step 5: Switch your handset off and on to activate settings.
Please note: You must send an MMS to yourself before you can receive an MMS.
